Refining the Extension

Give guidance and feedback to students' plans, encouraging, refining, and helping them to be responsible for their own learning. Maintain high expectations for completion of chosen options. Summarize by reviewing the whole, bringing students "full circle" to the experience with which the learning began.


Have the children write a thank you note

Objective: To have the children actualize their appreciation for the things they have.

Activity: Have the children write a thank you note to their parents or guardians for the things they have that make them contented and comfortable.

Assessment: Completion of the task, sincerity of the writing and presentation of the note.
