Give guidance and feedback to students' plans, encouraging, refining, and helping them to be responsible for their own learning. Maintain high expectations for completion of chosen options. Summarize by reviewing the whole, bringing students "full circle" to the experience with which the learning began.
Refining the process
Objective: The student will critique their own work pointing out the strengths and weaknesses.
Activity: The student writes a critique of their own work. The student then presents the piece to class for a group critique. Focus on what topic is illustrated, does the image match topic, emotion involved, does the medium and technique used match the emotion or message, etc.
Assessment: Student participation and formal critique.
