Establish a classroom atmosphere that celebrates the sharing of learning. Have opportunity for students to practice new learnings. Make student learning available to the larger community, i.e. books students write are shared with other classes, students report in school paper, student work is displayed at school, etc.

Time capsule, burial ceremony.

Objective: To celebrate: the individual as well as the collective; the small as well as the large; the present as well as the future.

Activity: Students will conduct the burial ceremony and invite guests to the unearthing to take place in 25 years.

Assessment: Quality and smoothness of presentation.
