Establish a classroom atmosphere that celebrates the sharing of learning. Have opportunity for students to practice new learnings. Make student learning available to the larger community, i.e. books students write are shared with other classes, students report in school paper, student work is displayed at school, etc.

Share & celebrate writing by participating in Young Author's Day.

Objective: Learners will share their writing.

Activity: Learners will participate in Young Author's Day. Visitors, including family, friends, teachers, classmates, and people from the community will come to school and listen to authors read their published pieces.

Assessment: Quality of published work and enjoyment of sharing it.
