Establish a classroom atmosphere that celebrates the sharing of learning. Have opportunity for students to practice new learnings. Make student learning available to the larger community, i.e. books students write are shared with other classes, students report in school paper, student work is displayed at school, etc.

Objective: To practice and share what they have learned.

Activity: Have a map party. Hang decorations. Play "find the food" so they can eat. Post the floor plan maps around the school and explain to each class.

Assessment: Enjoyment, able to explain to other classes how a floor plan is used, ability to follow directions and find food.
