Receiving Facts & Knowledge

Provide "acknowledged body of knowledge" related to the concept. Emphasize the most significant aspects of the concept in an organized, organic manner. Present information sequentially so students see continuity. Draw attention to important, discrete details; don't swamp students with myriad facts.

Instruction via lecture, discussion, films, guest speakers and use of textset.

Activity: Teacher presents information using lecture, discussion, videos, texts and guest speakers [especially if you have access to experts from a Botanical Garden, or a local person whose has traveled in a rain forest area].
