Objective: To create an awareness that an equal distance around does not necessarily result in the same amount to cover.
Activity: Give each group a given length of string with which they are to create a shape that will hold the largest number of beans possible. Give each group beans with which to cover their shape. Is there a pattern in the results as far as the type of shape and the number of beans?
