Activity: Divide class into two groups. All students take off their shoes and put them into a "group" pile. Race to see which group can identify their shoes and get them back on without talking.

Objective: To list words that describe their shoes.
Activity: In groups, make a list of words that describe each students' shoes. What attributes helped you to recognize your shoes?

Assessment: Verbal interaction with students and the number of adjectives generated.

Activity: Students write riddles using lots of adjectives to describe favorite foods.
